I Remember Mama Luncheons Honored Mothers
On Sunday, May 4, Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania hosted its annual I Remember Mama® events in Harrisburg and in Pittsburgh. Approximately 600 elderly women who would otherwise be alone for Mother's Day were treated to an unforgettable day of fine dining, gifts and companionship.
Former First Lady of Pennsylvania Michele Ridge was the keynote speaker at the Harrisburg luncheon. Mrs. Ridge reminisced about her mom and reflected on her role as a mother.
