Programs & Services
Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania designs and operates programs that address today's most pressing social needs.
Volunteers of America services in Pennsylvania include foster care, daycare, domestic and international adoption services, thrift stores, mental health services, supportive living, pregnancy counseling, and transportation for the elderly and handicapped.
Additionally, Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania has a group home for female youth, ages 14-17, who have been victimized by trauma, abuse or neglect; affordable family housing, affordable housing for the elderly; affordable housing for those with mental illness, affordable housing for young adults, ages 18 to 25, who are struggling and at risk for homelessness.
Nationwide, Volunteers of America helps almost 2 million people in 400 communities. This aid includes services and programs for:
- Disadvantaged and neglected children and youth
- The elderly
- Persons with disabilities
- Homeless individuals and families
- Men and women re-entering communities from prison
- And many others
