Our five specially equipped shuttle vans provide transportation for the elderly and disabled living in Wilkes-Barre area and who have no other means of transportation. Courteous van drivers take their passengers to medical appointments, shopping, senior centers and other quality of life destinations.
Laurel Towers – Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Developed, owned and managed by Volunteers of America, these 86 apartments on North Third Street provide affordable housing for elderly individuals or couples living on a fixed income. The building’s community room with a full kitchen and large-screen TV is a favorite gathering place for residents. A full-time social service coordinator helps residents access important community services, such as healthcare and transportation, so that residents can maintain their independence longer.
