Working Order is the National Business Incubation Association's 2014 Dinah Adkins Incubator of the Year in the general and special focus category. The National Business Incubation Association is the world's leading organization advancing business incubation and entrepreneurship

 

Volunteers of America receives grant to empower entrepreneurs with developmental disabilities
Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania, has received a two year, $120,000 grant for its Working Order Incubator, from the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council to develop a statewide network to create, promote and maintain entrepreneurial opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. The project will raise awareness about individuals with developmental disabilities who are entrepreneurs, and educate the public to the potential benefits of self-employment.  It will also create a statewide directory of who is working to accomplish such entrepreneurship and where the resources are for anyone with a disability wanting to be an entrepreneur.

Working Order Incubator wins the 2006 Goodwill Power of Work Award.

Selected from more than 100 nominees, this honor highlights the success of Working Order Incubator's support of entrepreneurship for individuals with disabilities.
Working Order Incubator received recognition in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 for outstanding work at the Goodwill Power of Work Award presentations.

Working Order Incubator received the 2013 CASE AWARD for excellence.  


IN Community Magazines recognized Working Order for service excellence as “Large Nonprofit of the Year” at their May 10, 2013 awards banquet.
