Toy Drive
Every child has one childhood and one chance to create happy memories. For some children, the difference between heartbreak and joy can be a simple as a "new best friend" or a "new set of wheels"
One of the great traditions of the holiday season for the past 100+ years us the annual Volunteers of America Holiday Toy Drive for needy children held each year for the children across Pennsylvania. This year we expect to help children from kindergarten through age 14 who would otherwise not have much of a happy holiday.
The supportive community of our grandparents day, the village, that place where people looked out for each other and supported each other in many places is no more.
But the basic need to be loves, nurtured and protected has not changed; in fact, economic conditions are telling us that our demand for holiday assistance will be greater than ever.
Volunteers of America Pennsylvania believes that our neighborhoods are our village.
