    VOAPA is hosting the 17th Annual Walk for Hope, our largest fundraising event to support Ruth’s Place, the only 24/7 emergency shelter serving women in Luzerne County! This year, the festivities will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 12pm on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre. During the Walk for Hope, each participant walks a familiar route of those women who are experiencing homelessness in our community and empathizes with the challenges they face when seeking help and regaining housing, independence, and hope.
